Atlanta is home to Atlas— a multi-course dining destination located at The St. Regis Hotel in the Buckhead neighborhood— led by culinary director Freddy Money (who worked previously at El Bulli, The Dorchester & Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester). While ‘fine dining’ today comes in so many permutations, Atlas is 100% a special-occasions place with excellent food (fresh produce wielded with much dexterity) and impeccable— and I mean truly impeccable service, cementing the important reality that what truly makes a restaurant is the overall dining experience. 🌟🌟🌟 As for the beverages— I have a separate post on that but let it be known that apart from being a newly minted Krug Ambassade, Atlas has a madaiera cart program helmed by head sommelier Sam Gamble. The reason for my visit was the restaurant’s special collaboration dinner with two-Michelin-starred and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants regular Jaan by Kirk Westaway in Singapore.
