HNY from us to you. This photo took 251 attempts including multiple accidental videos. 🤍🎉✌️to 2022. 🏳️ I’ve given up writing resolutions, affirmations, hopes, dreams, goals. It’s exhausting, and each year the bar becomes higher, a constant chase of self discovery for what’s just beyond yonder, with all my self worth wrapped up in this far off magical place in my imagination. Sometimes we need to just sit in it. Appreciate how far we’ve come. Maybe that utopian yonder is right here, but we’re so busy looking ahead at what we need to overcome physically, emotionally, mentally, that it’s easy to lose sight of the world we’ve built around ourselves. I use ‘we’ only because ‘I’ is far too much ownership over this suggestion than I’m willing to sign up for on January 1st, but alas... I can work on that. 🏳️ Here’s to a year of enjoying exactly who we are, faults and cracks, failures, falling short, bruises, old hurt, new hurt, baggage, warts and all. And then maybe we can stop chasing a futuristic ideal of ourselves and accept we already are everything we could ever dream to be🤍✌️
