Since we are based in the SF Bay Area (but are often away) we love to connect IRL and also check out new hotels when those opportunities arise. Some 35mm film images for you (within a reel, sorry, don’t blame us, we don’t make the rules!) from a recent invite to the new @1hotels from editor @ernathan - The Embarcadero is a favorite part of SF for locals and visitors alike (and one of the areas we always send newcomers). We enjoyed the fresh produce and local, organic fare at Terrene inside the hotel (think smoothies and wraps in the morning and a Mediterranean slant with za’atar fries, laffa bread and seared scallops at night). A couple of images in the mix from the Ferry Building across the street and even a glowing sunset sail that coincided with our friends from @outposttrade - It’s a joy to see the Bay waking back up! Many rooms at the hotel have panoramic views of the Bay Bridge and the truly epic glowing nightly public art installation (which must be one of the largest LED light pieces on the planet) created by Leo Villarreal. Indoors is about biophilic warm and neutral spaces, cozy robes, comfy beds, yoga mats in the room, green glass carafes for the filtered-water stations throughout the property.
