😂😅. play it cooooooool. this feels equivalent to when they said “optional workouts or “optional film” in college. LOL but school update ⬇️
One week into my surgery rotation! Working as a part of a medical team in comparison to straight studying for the first two years of medical school has been SUPER different & refreshing!! I love it. Here are some things I’ve learned so far:
1. Be confident & be a team player, that means way more than being able to recite random medical facts
2. Be on time, like earlier than on time lol
3. Be observant and see where you can be helpful when working with residents, attendings, nurses
4. Imposter syndrome is real, but you belong! Treat each patient how you’d want to be treated and learn as much as you can from the doctors, nurses etc that you work with... they all want you to do well!!
5. Put a protein bar in your white coat, trust😂
next up after surgery rotation.... PEDS 👶🏽
