In the Studio: Liu Wei Liu has described his studio as a small eco-system, where he and his production assistants collaborate in a constantly developing creative process. He begins many of his paintings with a digital image, which he then enlarges so that it can be meticulously transcribed into pixels and fine vertical lines on the canvas. The result is a chromatic haze of neon that both veils and reveals the subject, projecting an imaginary space between reality and the screen. ‘Liu Wei’ continues at West Palm Beach until 5 January 2023.
