What an incredible process to have been a part of the judging panel for this years @mercuryprize! I’ve been following The Mercury’s since Dizzee Rascal won in 2003! So to not only have judged but to have handed the award out has blown my tiny mind! Congrtufuckinlations @reallittlesimz on her winning album & journey, what a beacon of inspiration to trust your sauce & stay committed to the craft! A huge nod to 11 other shortlisted albums each a unique & brilliant listen! In a world where attention spans are shorter, songs are clocking in at 1’50 & the album format is rarely celebrated so savour this moment! Lets protect the art form & process that goes into making a body of work! If you love music take the time to listen to albums in the way they were intended, from start to finish! I hope next year I get to do this all over again!!
