This piece is dedicated to women. For all that is relentlessly graceful, intelligent, beautiful, and wild in them. I hope it serves as a reminder. ♥️ True story: I didn’t know this video existed until twenty minutes ago. Today was one of those days where everything felt forced and disconnected. I wrote a garbage poem and kept falling into black holes inside of my mind. I decided to learn a new dance because my brain was fired for the day...it was my bodies turn to speak. So, I went to go learn from master @kaylabrenda and found this choreo she made to one of my poems. I burst into tears watching it. This was the first time my own words served as a reminder, and i’m beginning to think that each art piece is a prophecy of sorts. My past self was reaching forward in time and offering a hand. ♥️ @kaylabrenda i am in awe of how you somehow express more through your silent movements than a thousand words on a page. thank you for this lovely surprise.
