JUST ANNOUNCED: This summer at the Grollo Equiset Garden at NGV International, experience an evocative reimagining of the global architectural icon, The Parthenon on the Acropolis in Athens. NGV Architecture Commission 2022: Temple of Boom takes its name from the vibrations of music and is designed by local architects Adam Newman (@adamnwmn) and Kelvin Tsang (@kelvintsang.architecture). Temple of Boom will be a meeting place for the community and an outdoor venue for a diverse program of NGV-curated performances, programs and live music across the summer period. The likeness of The Parthenon will be painted with overlapping large-scale artworks by Melbourne-based artists, adding further layers of meaning and drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours that defined the original building over two-thousand years ago.
