Around this time last year I decided to save up and gift my grandparents the Euro trip they always dreamed of but would probably never be able to have. My grandparents had the strength to immigrate to the States in the early 70s and leave everything behind; not knowing anyone, not speaking the language, and not knowing how they would make a means to survive, all sacrifices they made for their children and their children's children for a better future. Without their courage, resilience and continued selflessness I would not be here today. I hope to little by little be able to show them the places they’ve always wanted to see in gratitude for everything they’ve done for everyone around them. So here’s a carousel of (mostly) my grandparents, Ligia & Roqui, living their best European Escapade. So grateful I was also able to have my mama, my in-laws and my dearest @colomacoloma join as well - all first timers in Europe. It was the most wholesome 10 days I didn’t know I needed. Seeing our family come back to life as they explored and fed their inner child was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever experienced. Last pic is my fave of the 5 pollitos we had running around across the pond. Gentle reminder to love on your people, tell them often and make time count because it’s later than you think. 💛
