Maybe you could go out and be in new settings to meet people?⁣ ⁣ You need to love yourself more and do more self-care. ⁣ ⁣ But also make sure that when you’re dating that you don’t settle and you find the right partner. ⁣ ⁣ And also don’t ignore those red flags. Bc to me that sounds like a red flag. ⁣ ⁣ Beware of narcissists! So many toxic people out there. ⁣ ⁣ Ugh they ghosted me! Fuck them anyway. They didnt deserve you. Ghosting is a gift.⁣ ⁣ You're so lucky you're single. Im so sick of my partner always being there. Always wanting sex. Its exhausting. It’s wild out there folks!⁣ ⁣ I’m never not surprised by the lack of humanity we bring to dating, love and relationships. We ignore single people’s struggle and instead superimpose a highly intellectual lens lacking in emotion and compassion. This exacerbates the major loneliness that often defines what it means to be alone. ⁣ ⁣ For all you single people out there - i fucking see you - I feel what you feel. It’s hard. And it’s ok if it’s hard. ⁣ ⁣ There is a new trend that being single should be this shiny gold prize but for many people it isn’t. For many people it isn’t a cartoon of independence or self-empowerment. ⁣ ⁣ The way we approach love and dating reflects larger issues in how we understand relationships. We’ve over-intellectualized it all. Stop. Being single does not require an evaluation. It requires understanding, honoring, and compassion. ⁣ ⁣ Understand that this post is speaking to the people specifically experiencing what I’ve written about. It does not apply to everyone.
