this is a motherhood check in🫶🏽 (long message ahead) i want to connect more with the mom community here like i’ve done on tik tok——to be fair tik tok is way more excepting of the raw, real and natural moments of motherhood. so connecting and finding a community of moms (and even some who aren’t surprisingly) has been way easier and it’s much more of a safe space for moms to not be perfect all the time. instagram makes you feel like you need to create a false reality of what motherhood truly is at times and let’s be honest (this may trigger the mom shamers a bit🫠), but motherhood is ass some days. yeah there are days where i don’t wanna show up (i know i’m not the only mom that feels this way) but what do we do——we always show up and then some and then those cute little faces suck as back in to feeling all okay again lol being almost a year postpartum (meaning she’s also almost 1 years old😞) has been filled with so many emotions i’ve never felt before or have felt but x1000. from feeling like i’m not doing enough for myself or my daughter, to learning what patience is in very different ways, to not feeling like myself for a longgg time (and still do at times) and to battling the constant intrusive mom thoughts i’m still figuring out how to balance motherhood and how to be me at the same time i want my page to be a safe space for other moms the same way it is on tik tok and break the idea that it’s okay to not romanticize motherhood 24/7 because A LOT of days are far from that (this past week has been one of those). motherhood is a journey and each day is different and every moms journey will be completely different from one another but one thing that will be the same throughout this community no matter age or background, is the desire to find YOU again——the new you, because we’re a whole new us once we become moms. we’re on this journey together mama’s to finding, embracing and loving the new US 🫂 comment down below if you’re still on the journey to finding you🤍 . . #motherhood #momblogger #youngmom #momcontent #contentcreator #blackmotherhood #blackmothers #firsttimemom #postpartum #postpartumjourney #motherhoodjourney #mommentalhealth
