Macmillan Cancer needs your help. Earlier this year I lost my beautiful mum to pancreatic cancer. A month before my mum passed away we waited for her prognosis in a room with a team of doctors, accompanied by that team was a macmillian nurse. That nurse was not only essential but she was an irreplaceable beacon of comfort and compassion in what was one of the darkest days of mine and my siblings life. In order to continue helping those in need Macmillan are hosting their biggest ever #coffeeMorning on 30th September; Macmillan also provides vital support to anyone affected by cancer; they’re just a phone call away, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to them if you need to. And, if you can, host a Coffee Morning so that Macmillan can continue providing this life-changing support to more people who are diagnosed with cancer in the years to come. These portraits were taken by photographer @rankinarchive to mark the return of Macmillan coffee morning. On the day of this shoot I spoke to nursery teacher Chloe Dixon @chloedixon.london from Buckinghamshire, who was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2018, about the importance of support at every stage of a cancer diagnosis and the help Macmillan have provided. If you have a spare bit of cash or feel like hosting a coffee morning event please do. Donations are much needed. £1 to £10,000 whatever you have to spare will add a ray of light to the darkest days of many. Link in bio 💚 @macmillancancer Grooming @shukeelhair
