The interactions I have with the people in my photographs typically starts by approaching them with a gentleness, in the hopes of finally delivering an image that acknowledges their vulnerability and tenderness. In recent time, I’ve been troubled by a kind of death of tenderness that I have experienced in the world. I also developed a fear of being altered by this favored disregard for sensitivity. This image was created as an attempt to kill that fear.
