It's been about a year since I filmed this and decided to choose vulnerability. A lot has changed, but social media does not always do the best job of translating reality - a fact that I have grappled with ever since I worked behind the camera and part of the reason I decided to start working in front of the camera. When @sephora gave me the opportunity to share my story and was gracious enough to lend their platform, my whole body said YES. But my mind struggled a lil with feeling too self-centered.. being a public figure as my career was an unexpected surprise. I honestly just didn't love myself enough to think other people would want to hear what I had to say. But I've got a lot to say and thank gawwwwd I finally value myself enough to do it. Now, I know that sharing heals. I know from personal experience.. even from some of you on here. Our collective happiness is our individual happiness. You know how social media goes.. you probably still recognize the content I post - beauty is my world - but you likely wouldn't fully recognize the person I am anymore. And that's okay, that means I'm doing this whole growth thing right. I'm looking forward to reintroducing myself ❤️
