I told myself not to get too attached when taking on an older rescue animal, with a series of underlying health conditions. Fig made that impossible. She was put down this morning due to a tumor that was too far along to be treated. Weeks ago, i was told the safest option for her was to be euthanized but wanted to let her decide when that was going to be, without getting to a point of suffering. My heart is broken but needless to say, she’s crossed the rainbow bridge & in a pain free environment now ❤️‍🩹 Don’t think i will ever be able to find a cat quite like Fig. I can’t wait to see her again 👼🏼
