Where old meets new. Hiking through the rain, the fog gave way to a view of the old crater covered in rising steam. It made me think about the interconnection between the eruptions and what is brewing beneath the surface. Looking down the hill to the new crater, you begin to realise that nature is working on something long term here, on a timescale we couldn’t begin to fathom.
