10 years ago today i became a mom. words escape me. my heart is filled with so much pride and gratitude for the person she is and the one i see her becoming before my eyes. i just can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that a decade ago i gave birth to someone who is now one of the most dynamic, kind, funny, vibrant, thoughtful people i know. someone i love spending time with and feel my truest self with. i’ve made a million mistakes but i know now that it’s all an evolution. of me as a mom. as a woman. of her as a person and of us as mother and daughter. one thing that has remained true since this day 10 years ago when plum was born and everyday since is that she teaches me more than i could ever teach her.
