Lovely @elizabethjmetcalfe posted this outtake from the day she came to our Cotswolds barn to shoot for @houseandgardenuk with @paul_massey. It reminded me of a shot I have (swipe) of the very same corner of our kitchen on the day we got the keys. What I loved most about our brilliant builder, Joe - was that he worked with the bones of what we had; reusing what he could, just making it more to our liking. The door here is a small example - he peeled off the lead strips, gave it a lick of paint, and changed the handle to a beehive style to match the others in the house. Simple changes, but with huge impact. 💕🚪
