Today was the day we said goodbye to our little suite. I remember being so nervous to make the initial jump. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew I was doing the right thing. I was leaving a large brand and 3 assistants that were fully trained and going to start completely over on my own. The first potential assistant I interviewed was @hannahwolfe_hair, on Jan. 1st at 9:00 am. What a trooper 🤣 I knew within 3 min of that convo she was it. Hired her a few hours later (so I didn’t look as desperate as I was) and together we started on day 1. She's been my ride or die ever since. A month or so in I got a text from @peight_hair (who was my assistant at the last salon) who told me she wanted to be a part of Parlour One. Relieved was an understatement, she saved my ass when I needed it the most. She brings a calm and humor to my life that no one else can. Fast forward 3 years, laughs, tears, and memories later... along came @connerhair. The most eager-to-learn assistant there ever was. I’ve never had a male assistant or really anyone over 4 inches my height for that matter. He constantly teaches me to be adaptable and open-minded. Funny how people are put in your life when you need them the most. He is the life of the party at the salon and I'm 99% sure when he's on the floor I will lose all my clients to him. So together, my little dream team and a few more that I will introduce later, are moving forward and starting again. We cannot wait to share with you all our beautiful new space soon. ❤️ Also literally nothing would ever happen without @m4matt_builds but I can’t put that into words over an IG post.
