Basted Cabbage - Another Day in Paradise Ingredients per portion 1/2 head sweetheart cabbage - sliced in half length ways 2 large cloves garlic - thinly sliced 2-3 tbsp un salted butter 1/2cup chicken stock - un salted 2 tbsp fresh parsley - finely chopped 2 tbsp neutral oil - for frying cabbage 1/2 lemon juiced - for serving This is a great pan sauce to have on lock. Once you have it dailed you can follow all the same steps with grilled chicken, fish, or other vegetables. Steps Heat your pan on a med/high. Once hot add a generous amount of neutral oil. Fry the cabbage for 1-2 minutes on each cut side - or until golden grown. Turn the cabbage on is back and season with salt&pepper. Place in a 185c oven for 12 minutes. You can do this in the pan or transfer to a baking tray. Remove any excess oil from the pan. Place the cabbage back in the pan on a med/high heat. Add the stock, garlic, parsley and butter. Swirl the pan around until the butter has mixed in to the stock - this will take a few minutes. you can also push the cabbage to one side and use a spoon create the pan sauce. Once the butter has mixed in to the stock - baste the cabbage until the sauce has reduced by half. Once plated, pour the remaining sauce over the cabbage along fresh lemon juice and black pepper. #cabbage #fyp #butter
