Bohemian mom turns 92 today. Her birthday wish is for me to be with her for Election Day bc she’s terrified of what’s going to happen. Here we are in one of the messy apartments I grew up in in Cambridge Mass. She was quirky and fun, but my dad, a nutty German scientist, liked his lab more than his family, so it was a lonely life for her, but she loved me with all her heart and I always felt adored and appreciated. She had a cold cruel Irish Catholic mother so she vowed not to treat her child the way she was, and she didn’t, I never felt criticized or unloved, so between that, and inheriting my fathers naturally optimistic nature, I feel fortunate. I haven’t accomplished everything I wanted to in life but I’m lucky to be a happy person who was brought up with love, so thanks Mom and let’s pray the Democrats hold on, go out and VOTE! Do it for Mom.
