In his latest exhibition with the gallery, Pearson presents for the first time his new Casement works, a variety of cement sculptures that promote a full-body engagement with space. Because they present as shallow relief forms, they read as both images and objects, and emphasize the eye's status as a physical organ and a translator of ephemeral, light-based impressions. Light, in other words, is given a physical address both in the environment and in the human body.
