What helped you in your recovery? šŸ’œ Here’s what helped me: 1. Little walks, nothing strenuous. The first couple days I took a few laps in my room. I looked like Gollum from Lord of the Rings šŸ˜‚šŸ˜… 2. High-waisted and seamless diapers/underwear so that they didn’t press on my incision. Also, if you’re looking for pads, use @thehoneypotco!! 3. 4 panel belly band (link in highlights) 4. Easily digestible foods (that don’t cause gas—ouch). I ate thick, veggie soup my mom made the first two weeks 5. Gently blow drying my incision bandages with cold air after a shower to keep it dry 6. Not bending over 7. Not picking up heavy things (no to anything heavier than a baby is what I was told) 8. Staying on top of pain meds Also: šŸ¤Signing up for counseling to process the birth (it did not go my way—at.all.) šŸ¤Getting help with my other kiddos so I wasn’t straining myself šŸ¤Sleeping on my back šŸ¤Not driving for some time šŸ¤Lots of grace and patience for myself as I recover from a MAJOR surgery!
