We have lost a legend. I am so sorry to share that Signore Italo Manca, arguably the most stylish man in Milan, passed yesterday. He was the dapper proprietor of one of my favorite restaurants La Libera, in Brera. After quite a few years seeing him there, running the dining room in the evenings in his iconic colorful tailoring, I felt I had to ask if I could take his photo. His looks and his joy in dressing were just too incredible, too singular not to record. He was always happy to oblige and I tried to converse in my very broken, rudimentary Italian, sharing my admiration for his style. Here are just a few of his legendary looks. Condoglianze.
