A long time ago, I had a beautiful cherry tree in my backyard and I remember what a treat it was to have fresh cherries so close at hand. But I also remember, the copious amounts of cherries I had to bake with, freeze, can or give away and how much work it was!!

Peppercorns add just the right amount of spice to this classic Whiskey Sour. I ‘springed’ 🌷🌸 it up by adding the fresh cherries and tart cherry juice (and also because I love my drinks to have that hint of fruitiness)
Cherry Peppercorn Bourbon Sour
In a shaker add,
5-6 fresh cherries, pitted and halved
1 tsp peppercorns (black or pink)
3/4 oz agave or simple syrup
Muddle well and then add:
2 oz bourbon
1/2 lemon, fresh squeezed
1 oz tart cherry juice
Dash cherry bitters
Shake well (Dry shake) and then add:
1 egg white (or 1 Tbsp aquafaba)
Shake vigorously and DOUBLE STRAIN into a coupe. 🤦🏼♀️
Garnish with fresh cherries and edible flowers (like violets)
