It took me years and years to know that anything I wanted or needed existed within myself. We live in a society of persistent external acceptance seeking, which ultimately pulls us further away from happiness and our purpose. I am an extraordinarily hard worker - you give me a goal and I will reach it. Im a fixer, a do-er, and that is something I am proud of. However, I have learned that the greatest things in life can only come when you are ready, no matter how hard you try. "Ready" is not when you feel that urge to overwork your way there.. you'll just spin your wheels. "Ready" is when all of you has leveled up to love, acceptance, and gratitude.
