Hormonal changes , irregular menstrual cycle , hot flashes , mood changes ...... IYKYK π₯΅
But fitness goals can be done ππ»ππ» Here is my 24 weeks prep pic from my last competition in August.
My biggest challenge at this prep was sleep π€
Lack of sleep is one of the reasons why so many women understandably struggle with weight loss or maintenance during menopause.
Yes hormonal changes with the drop of estrogen and for some will be harder to consistently make healthy choices .
Educating and understanding how fat loss works is wayyy more beneficial in the long run rather then engaging to short term quick fix whatever bullshit is on the internet .
Im not saying there is a magic pill π I just focus with what I can control and let go of what I canβt . I was still able to do this great built and undergoing a 24 week prep to compete so YES you can still lose body fat and or maintain a weight loss during and after menopause.
Surround yourself with knowledgeable people if you need too π instead of restricting yourself, being hungry and miserable all the time . Attack it with positive mindset and expectations and learn and understand how the body works .
