There’s a Hairy man at the Beach ⛱️ No one shaming him, no one judging him or telling him to shave. No one staring in shock as he relaxes in the shade. Then there’s me, a Hairy Woman at the Beach breaking the rules society tried so hard to ingrain in me. All I did was choose to love me as I am. To simply exist! We all grow body hair; some less & some more than others. As a woman, if I weren’t meant to have it , it simply wouldn’t grow on me. I am a hairy woman who’s proud to be a hairy woman, my body hair is part of me, it is who I am, it is part of my ancestors, it isn’t something I am ashamed of anymore. I remember growing up, choosing not to go swimming when friends would invite me because of the time it would take to remove my body hair, because it would grow back in 3 days, because of the pain, because it would grow thicker, stronger, darker, because of the scars the ingrown hair would leave and I remember being afraid of my body. Scared that one day someone would find out how hairy I am. I would even cry when I looked at my hairy body in the mirror.
