Recent rain brought cool relief to the park after several days of hot temperatures and smoky conditions due to wildfires. Low clouds rolled through while petrichor, the earthy scent that is released when rain falls upon dry land, filled the air. Rivers, streams, and waterfalls have been temporarily reawakened from a summer slumber and are flowing with liveliness. The short presence of rain awakened life in the park.
