Garden Songs is out now! I recorded this with Lydia in mid December of 2021. We cut basics on a Monday with @rossmcreynolds and @kraussviktor strings on a Tuesday (I’d written the arrangements the week before after pre pro) with @annaliesekowert @laurepling @lydialuce @thatcelloguy15 overdubs on a Wednesday (I played keys) and @hannahdelynn came in to sing backgrounds and then @tolomusic on a Thursday to add his arsenal of acoustics and on Friday we had @corin_horn come in to play horn. Jeff Taylor came in the next week to play bass accordion (a first for me. What a beautiful sound. You can hear it on the song matter of time.) and then I went right into mixing. I loved making this. There’s a naturally infused cohesion when something is made quickly. It was a treat to watch it blossom. Go listen. Recorded and mixed at The Duck
