From a 14th-century landmark to brutalist structures by Le Corbusier, here are 12 buildings that Indian architects chose when Dezeen asked them to name their homeland's most significant piece of architecture. We contacted 13 prominent architects and asked them to pick a building in India that has been particularly inspirational to them and influential on their practice. Among their choices are three buildings by the most famous Indian architect, Charles Correa, two by legendary modernist Le Corbusier and two by American architect Joseph Allen Stein. Featured here are: - The India Habitat Centre in New Delhi by Joseph Allen Stein (1993) - Lotus Mahal in Hampi (14th century) - Mill Owners' Association Building in Ahmedabad by Le Corbusier (1954) - Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore by Balkrishna Doshi (1983) Head to the link in our bio for the full roundup. 📸 by Surbhi, Earthitects (@earthitects), Reddit user Bunsky and Vinay Panjwani (@panjwani.vinay) #india #architecture #building
