I spent my summer riding the trains through Brooklyn. Some people recognized me many said “good to see you again” thinking that I was some old friend... and in a way I am. Some said I should not ride the trains anymore... but I did because 2023 changes everything... RISE OF THE BEAST comes out. Maybe my life will not allow me to walk around as freely maybe it still will. All I know is I took ownership of the low key Brooklyn summer I got to have. A summer that felt like those times when Montauk ave was all I thought I had...where fucked up things never felt too bad but now they do ...rushing back cause the body keep score and memories don’t live like people do... a time when they called me Dyme cause it was interchangeable with Dom. One of my favorite things to have heard was “yo we got a celebrity in the hood... yo she is the hood hood. that’s Dominique Fishback?? I fuck with that power shit and that black messiah.
