It is with great sadness that we have learned yesterday of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All over the world, she will be forever remembered as a unifying figure, a perpetual source of strength and commitment, and the incarnation of grace and integrity. On a personal note, we shall never forget that Roger Vivier designed a pair of golden pumps for the coronation of the young Queen in 1953. She remained for him afterwards a source of creative influence and respectful admiration. Today, all our thoughts go to the Royal Family, to Her Majesty’s subjects and to everyone in the world mourning her loss.
