Dia De Los Muertos 🖤 I don’t really like Halloween so this year we decided for the first time to celebrate Dia de los Muertos in Mexico City and it was absolutely magical. A holiday celebration I appreciate due to a more meaningful origin. It is a chance to honor the dead, those who were near and dear to you. It is a chance to grieve for your loss, but instead of holding onto your grief its intention is to celebrate their life instead. The loss of my biological mum left more trauma then I would like to admit so this trip was another step in my journey of healing. I can feel the progress and gratitude for this experience. Our favorite moment while cliche, was the face painting experience by @livemxskin. Such an immersive experience into the beautiful culture and traditions here in Mexico.
