For certain GenXers like me , Julee Cruise was a haunting unique ethereal creature who could create disturbing yet hopeful retro sounding ballads that were spare and layered and almost hypnotic . Together with #DavidLynch and #AngeloBadalamenti they created the now iconic atmospheric music for the groundbreaking series #TwinPeaks. She decided to take her own life yesterday at 65 years young after having dealt with years of chronic physical and mental illness.
