As we are moving into the holiday season, it has become more clear to Caroline that the hardest thing for her during the pandemic has been not being about to see the people she loves in person..."I live alone and in the beginning stages of lockdown, after not seeing anyone in person for two months, I decided to adopt a cat because love is LOVE. It is one of the best things that has ever happened to me, and now I have a permanent quarantine buddy to sit next to on my Zoom calls with friends and family!" ⁠ . ⁠ The woman on the swing is my Grandma. She was beautiful, full of joy, an incredible artists, and no stranger to living her best life. She also recycled in the 80’s....wild. I’ve carried this image with me all over the world as a reminder to keep that idealistic head up and swing on through even when it’s hard. And it has definitely been hard for everyone as of late. But higher or lower, fast or slow...we all have to keep going, and swing on through.
