This is also concerning because you could be paying a lot for a product that has very little/trace amounts of the beneficial ingredients, with the bulk of it being ineffective/cheaper ingredients. Common ingredients found in weight management supplements marketed to “burn fat”, “boost metabolism”, or “burn calories” typically contain ingredients like caffeine/green tea, L-carnitine, CLA, capsaicin, or resveratrol to name a few. None of these have a significant effect on weight and while caffeine can increase thermogenesis, the effect is lessened in individuals who consume it regularly. Also, herbal supplements aimed at ‘fat-burning’ are tied to liver/organ damage.🙅🏽‍♀️ There is zero regulation of the term “all natural”. Any supplement or food can have this on the label, it means nothing. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Technically, there’s also zero regulation on supplements...which is why third party testing is so important.
