Buddy the Rat is an examination of society. Turning a mirror onto the observers he shows them the animal inside. They are forced to reckon with the ancient evolutionary forces that make them who they are, what they are, why they are. Leaving in a fog of befuddlement the average observer has taken no notice of the significant change that has juat occured within them.
