Embracing the soft life… For now, at least until the studio opens. 🌀 The past six months I’ve spent a lot of days at home. Back in April, I quit my job to focus full time on Wild Thing and I’ve learned a lot about focus and self-discipline… mostly that I lack both lol. But after 9 years in a structured corporate world working towards fake deadlines that never end the freedom has been sweet. If I were building a fully remote business, I’d probably spend more time creating routines and getting better at time-blocking my days. But that’s not rlly the vibe here. No amount of color-coded calendars could ever make this feel “done.” Instead, I keep a master list with two simple goals: 1. Finish the buildout and make Wild Thing the most beautiful space I’ve ever envisioned. 2. Build the brand in a way that feels true to me. Of course, there are hundreds of little things hiding under those two and I’ve been impatient, distracted, and unproductive on many days. But I’m still damn proud of myself bc I know this is just the beginning of whatever wild, beautiful journey lies ahead. I say this to encourage anyone who is wanting to build something - whatever that may be- that what it’s going to take is entirely up to you. And that you can be a type b, hyperactive, and whimsical person and still get shit done 🤓 More than anything, I’m excited. Excited for what’s ahead, more than anything else I’ve ever worked on. We’re currently working on our grand opening experience in mid-November. I hope you come by and at least say hi to Benny at the studio, I can’t promise he won’t try to hug you or jump on you, but after years of freeloading he’s officially being put to work. We’re almost there !! @wildthingmiami
