Repost from @sausage_sensei • Join us for a special collaborative event, October 8, 2022, at Brotherton’s Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville Texas, with Winnie Yee-Lakhani, aka “The Smoke Queen.” Winnie is the Owner/Operator of Smoke Queen BBQ at Smorgasburg in Los Angeles, California. Mixing the spices and flavors of her Chinese & Malaysian heritage with the traditional American style of smoking, she creates a unique style of barbecue in a class of its own. Her menu is inspired & innovative. From the ever so popular Cantonese style Pork Belly Siu Yuk (Crispy Skin Pork Belly), to the Texas style Smoke Brisket, to the not-so-traditional, yet perfect fusion of Chinese-American style Pork Belly Char Siu, each cut of meat is lovingly made with scratch-made family rubs and sauces, defining a new culinary category of Asian American Barbecue. Winnie was also a contestant on the Food Network show, “BBQ Brawl”, with Bobby Flay, Jet Tilla and Anne Burrell. Numerous other accolades across Southern California, and the U.S., are well deserved and display her inspirational talent! We are super excited to have an opportunity to collaborate, here at Brotherton’s Black Iron BBQ, in Pflugerville, Texas.
