37 weeks today with baby boy 🩵🧸✨ what is your guess on his due date🥹?! ALSO, a little story time if you want to keep reading: Back in May, Chandler and I spent the sweetest day in London after a week in Europe and ended the trip with a dinner cruise on the Thames River. There were a lot of older couples on the cruise and looking around I was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly emotional! Literally crying at the table and when Chandler asked what was wrong, we talked about how these are some of the last trips these couples would take together and what their conversations might be like. Were they talking about how successful they were and how much money they made and things they had? Or were they talking about the legacy in the ups and downs of the life they created together or the family they’ve built and poured love into? Or were they talking about how they were able to do both?? A year ago, we were so confident that we were done having kids, but at the same time, we always left that door a little open. A part of me feels like we thought having another might disrupt the life we had and unlock new anxieties and “what ifs”...but looking around at the couples on the cruise, I had a grounding feeling that I had been allowing fear to guide our decisions and hearts. So that night, we talked about how we would maybe start the journey of trying for a baby again in a year. Well, turns out, I was already pregnant🤭 God softened our hearts right when we needed it, reminding us that all of our worries could be given to Him no matter what comes next. I’m not naive to the fact that this isn’t everyone’s circumstance, but I share to hopefully encourage that God knows our hearts and won’t leave us, even if we can’t recognize it. We don’t take the miracle of pregnancy for granted, that’s for sure🤍 Whenever this baby decides to debut, he is forever the biggest and sweetest surprise of our lives and we are already so in love.
