Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning studio SANAA (@sanaaarquitectura) has extended the Art Gallery of New South Wales (@artgalleryofnsw) in Australia with a series of pavilions that step down towards Sydney Harbour. Named Sydney Modern, the extension was designed to contrast the existing gallery’s 19th-century neoclassical architecture, with the two buildings connected by a public art garden.
