i was nursing violet in front of sammy’s 3.5 year old daughter and she asked me “where is the milk?” and the only way i knew how to describe it to her was to say “it’s in my chest, kind of like a cow has udders...” 🐄 and i was thinking about how i never really had high expectations for if and how long i would or wouldn’t nurse violet but that i’m grateful to have the opportunity at all. it’s been a magical experience getting to grow my baby on the inside and also on the outside. from that first latch through to almost giving up a thousand times to now pumping all throughout my trip so that i don’t mess up my supply...it’s all worth it to feel like a jumbo cow when i look at her and realize that all those hours spent nursing and pumping for 10+ months have grown her into who she is today 🥲 anyways feelin emo, bye!
