About to do another interview and suddenly felt a moment of profound gratitude for my faithful Olympus digital voice recorder. There have been hours and hours and hours of interviews recorded on it - some I can’t bear to delete, like Manolo Blahnik (whom I adore) and Sofia Coppola (obvs), but many I’ve had to as it’s storage capacity isn’t infinite. It’s either on my desk or in my bag and even one minute of not knowing its location can bring on panicky symptoms. Sometimes I use my phone, but it’s just not the same. Thank you, pal. 🙏
