The last time I went to the British hairdressing awards was back In 2001 (21 years ago) when I was invited by @nickyclarkeuk on his table - I was a 17 year old boy blown away by the glitz and the glamour of the industry. I thought one day I’d love to be up there and to a huge surprise this year I was nominated for the session hairdresser of the year alongside some incredible peers in the industry. These peers are also hairdressers that I look up to with huge respect! Having Competition can scare people but I really believe it’s important, As this is what makes us stronger and incentivises us to become better.
