A couple of easy ways to self care for days where you’re feeling under the weather ́・ᴗ・` ⊹ rest is especially important when you’re sick—take time to heal, prioritize sleep ⊹ focus on nutrient dense nourishment, I really like to make juices heavy on the ginger, pineapple, lemons (including the peel where all the essential oils are) ⊹ stay on top of your vitamins and supplements—I throw in magnesium, zinc, extra vitamin c, elderberry and ooo when I’m feeling sniffly ⊹ get some sun and fresh air ⊹ eat warming foods (physically hot food but also foods considered warming for the body based on ayurveda and tcm), warming spices, lots of garlic and liquids ⊹ diffuse essential oils with eucalyptus, rosemary and other plants with demulcent properties (if you’re congested) ⊹ an IV drip to replenish if you’re feeling severely ill can do wonders to rehydrate your body and deliver vitamins + minerals, red light therapy can also aid in healing and recovery ⊹ favour hot liquids but reduce your caffeine intake, instead try herbal teas There are so many ways to support your body in its healing naturally, feel free to add any favourite self care practices below—it’s that time of year!
