If you could have told me on this day, 3 years ago, forcing myself out of bed on the hottest summer day of the year to meet a “friend” for some brunch and immersive Van Gogh would lead to ALL of this- a beautiful apartment with the love of my life and husband for one whole month now- I don’t think I would have believed you. • Going straight from our wedding to our new home has been the busiest season of my life, and I would be remiss if I didn’t thank all of our friends for their patience. It’s taking us both so long to process thank you’s, building furniture, choosing our favorite photos, planning our honeymoon... the list goes on and on. The wedding may be over, but the adventure has just begun. ❤️ • The things that made our wedding perfect, in my eyes, was how unique it was to us, and how some things weren’t so perfect. I was late to my own ceremony (IYKYK). I entered to a theme from “My Hero Academia”, and David entered to one from “Ocarina of Time”. The unity candle melted and welded itself to the stand 😐. We entered as husband and wife to “We Are” from “One Piece”. Our friends screamed MCR and threw beads to Second Line. • All I heard for days was 1) how beautiful the wedding was and 2) how memorable and fun-loving all of our guests were. That second one really resonates with me. David and I have a combined friend group spanning so many different parts of our lives and consisting of people we love to be around for very specific reasons. I am so, so grateful for the friends and family who came together to celebrate us. I can’t begin to say how much I am STILL processing how incredible and loved we felt. • And to my husband- thank you for being the man you are. Thank you for seamlessly becoming friends with my friends and showing how much you care for them every day. Thank you for loving my family as much as I do. Thank you for lifting me up and making sure I never back down from a challenge. Thank you for being the tirelessly hardworking, intelligent, so so goofy wonder that you are. • 3 years dating. 1 month married. A lifetime to go.
