We Adopted a Dog! Say hello to Steve! Andrew and I have wanted a dog for quite a long time but life is crazy and we weren’t sure on a breed or adoption or how to go about it the best way. When @balionisrenner AKA fairy godmother of all rescue dogs heard we were interested in a dog she said “give me 6 months” and immediately started sending me dogs up for adoption who were posted to Instagram by various rescues and checked the boxes we were looking for. For 6 months we passed until she sent us Steve last week. And it truly felt like fate! I have always talked about wanting a dog named Steve. His name is already Steve. I just so happen to be in Orange County for work this week, Steve is in Orange County. So Andrew flew down and that was that! A little about Steve: the vet thinks he’s about a year old, he’s wirehaired and some sort of terrier mix, he was left on the side of the road in the baking sun in Bakersfield (poor guy) and picked up and taken to a shelter there. He was then fostered for a week and transferred to a shelter in Orange County for a better chance at adoption. He’s super loving, knows his basic commands, is really good on the leash, and enjoys sitting directly on you. We love you so much buddy!
