This is an homage to my father of some of the songs that he loved with the hopes of giving you a glimpse into the man that helped shape so many young lives over the years. Today we lay him to rest🌹 I end this post with a letter to my father that I will read today at his services. You gave me street knowledge while showing us how to volunteer to serve our community. We would sip Bourbon and sing duets all night. Stay up late singing every line in West Side Story. Our Turner Classic Movie nights filled with musicals and spaghetti westerns. Coming home from school to big pots of bolognese sauce, French bread, and Burgundy wine. Most of all Dad I will miss your stories. You lived a crazy life. A non apologetic life. You were my musical partner. You showed me the importance of lyrics and how musical scores can change the energy in a scene. Almost everyday we would send each other songs to learn so the next visit we would just sing. I would give anything to sing with you again Dad. I truly Love you so much. Grief is such a horrible feeling and I do hope your Soul is at peace. I will always be your lil Tweety Bird 🌹 I know you will be shining down from heaven like the Angel you are & I will do everything possible to share your story with our family & friends. You have given us a lifetime of beautiful memories and I am forever grateful to call you my Father. Til we sing again...
