We live for these heartwarming moments. 🥲 After being stationed in Japan for over a year, Stephanie Terrazas surprised her family on the field at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, TX. This surprise reunion is an annual tradition that our Red Cross teams coordinate with partners, to bring a service member home to their loved ones for the holidays. Stephanie is the first in her family to join the military, something she says has always been a dream for her. “I wanted to help and protect others and to defend my country,” she said. Since enlisting, Stephanie has served as an active USO volunteer and a Red Cross blood donor. She also teaches fitness classes and develops workout plans for her fellow sailors — anything to keep her busy while she is away from her family. We’re honored to provide her the opportunity to celebrate this precious time of the year with those who matter most. “I’m so grateful to the Red Cross and will cherish every moment spent with my family.
